Welcome From The College President

On behalf of the entire Colby-Sawyer College community I welcome you to our college. The entire Colby-Sawyer community is delighted to have you here with us. Colby-Sawyer is one of the Northeast's leading comprehensive baccalaureate colleges with a distinguished history, a vibrant present and a bright future. We are located in one of the most beautiful parts of New England and very much hope you are able to enjoy our surroundings while you are here. One of our strategic themes here at Colby-Sawyer is Linking to the World; this conference provides a wonderful avenue to do just that—build connections. We believe that we are global citizens and that we have as much to give back to the world as it gives us. The ability for young minds to gather and share ideas and plan for a better Africa gives us much hope for a better tomorrow not just for Africa, but for the whole world. With the amount of work and dedication put into preparation by all involved I know this will be a successful conference. Again welcome and enjoy your stay with us.

Welcome From The Conference Director

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Pamoja60: The Neo-Pan-African Conference. Pamoja60 is born out of the need and desire to unite Africans on the continent and in the diaspora and all who have some interest in the progress of Africa to dialogue, share ideas and map out a route for African development. Many people have been and are working behind the scenes to ensure that your attendance will yield much fruit and will be as comfortable as possible. I invite you to make a personal effort to connect with at least two other people you meet here on a personal level. Share ideas and doubts, for it is only when we are together that we are truly at our best. When the great fathers of Pan-Africanism started the struggle, they gathered in Accra for a similar conference. We gather in New London, NH to pick up where they left of 50years ago and to push for African unity and development. I hope and wish to meet every single one of you here and to share my Pan-African dream with you as you share yours with me and others. Excited to have you here!
